With the daily news filled with COVID-19 updates we realize the general population in the USA & Canada are beginning to have varying degrees of mild to severe panic reactions. While the risk to most people remains low, we recognize our social responsibility to mitigate risk of spreading infection.
As a premier provider of live in classroom Staging training, CSP International™ is committed to providing the highest level of service, comfort, and care for our students. Considering the recent Coronavirus outbreaks, we are taking the steps necessary to increase the safety and sanitization of our classrooms and workplaces.
With major event gatherings being cancelled, we decided to consider alternatives to our live class events. The government has suggested more than 250 people events to not take place; most CSP classes range from 3-15 people and at this point of writing, not one of the locations planned is in an at-risk city. Our highest priority is to do everything possible to ensure the safety and security of the students while facilitating the progress of their business.
We understand things happen moment to moment, but as it stands right now, we have no plans to cancel any event.
Plan B:
With the beauty of technology, we are able to provide a virtual classroom experience for every planned location.
What does that mean?:
We are accepting registrations to all events, scheduling the dates as per the calendar, assuming all will proceed as planned. In the event circumstances change, and a location becomes at risk, then all registrants will be provided with a virtual classroom link, the CSP Manual and work forms will be shipped directly to the registrant’s house.
The two-day theory will be taught over the planned three days, the exam will be provided online & the final practical can be either deferred until after the risk has dissipated or an online/case study/ practical solution will be provided. It will not in any way compromise the integrity of the learning or certification.
“I can’t learn online”:
Is a refrain we hear often; we understand. Most people’s perception of online requires a ton of personal discipline with a “work at your own pace concept”; the CSP virtual classroom is not like that. It is a set time frame like a live event, you can see the instructor, the instructor sees you AND you each see all the other attendees. It is real time interaction, questions, answers just like a live-in person event- except you are not travelling, enjoying all the comforts of home. There are scheduled breaks & lunches as well as breakout sessions- you will be surprised how effective the learning is. Once the situation returns to normal you will have the option to attend a live event for the reinforcement of learning and or the practical experience (no charge). We believe this is a great solution to comply with possible government restriction without compromising your dreams of owning a staging business.
As standard practice, CSP checks partner hotels, requiring thorough cleaning, commonly touched surfaces are sanitized (handles, windows, appliances, counter-tops, furniture, etc.). In addition, our own onsite team will carry commercial-grade disinfectant and a clean air unit to further sanitize the classroom. All students and trainers are encouraged to take precaution in their daily activities, washing hands often, covering their mouth when they cough, and diligently making use of hand sanitizer in public. CSP is actively and continuously monitoring the Covid-19 outbreak, in line with local and national authorities, public health advice, CDC & WHO guidelines. In the unlikely event of an outbreak in one of the areas we serve, we will follow the protocol for emergency preparedness, which is in place at each community we serve.
