Not All Staging Training Programs Are The Same
What elephant? Price!
The subject most people avoid or don’t want to discuss…(weren’t we all taught it is rude to ask)? Warren Buffet says “Price is what you pay, value is what you get. So, price and value are the two sides of the same coin. Understanding the difference between price and value is a core principle of purchasing anything. Thinking woohoo this is a “great price” when paying for products or services happens when the perceived value (payback) is higher than the fee. On the other hand, everything is always too expensive when the fee outweighs the potential value (perception of what is received).
Yesterday a prospective student said,
“I just want to be sure I am getting value for money.”
Please note, we have oodles of information, testimonials, videos, and social proof on our website proving the CSP staging training and certification is credible (still here after 21 years, thousands of graduates and a Triple A credit rating), and excellent value, yet that person wasn’t fully convinced. Why?
Well firstly, she hadn’t read anything on the website, didn’t look at any testimonials…. she only looked at price and then compared it to other staging training pricing, then finding a difference was confused; confusion means not able to make a decision. Relative value is valuing how much the product is worth by comparing it with its competitors, however if you are only comparing price you won’t get to a decision. Now imagine if this was your client coming to your site and you didn’t know about it. CSP grads have access to a tool to help track your visitors and understand what they need.
Staging training ranges from under $100 to thousands. She said, “there are just so many choices- how do I know which is best?” However, it’s what she didn’t say, the question she didn’t ask, that was holding her back (keep reading for enlightenment).
If we were talking 1lb of apples to a 1lb of apples, it would come down to a preference in three things:
- Size: 2 large, 3 medium or 4 small apples.
- Taste: sweet, tart, crisp or juicy and
- What do you want to do with them cook or eat?
Staging Training choices are like fruit- they all fit into the category of fruit, but they are not all the same. Hmmm so how do you measure value for money?
Imagine facing your very first client, how do you think you will feel when they start the conversation by asking how much you charge, and then tell you “It is too much”? What will you say? If you are thinking “ya but wait until I tell you what I can do” and they say “doesn’t matter, it’s too much”.
How dejected will you feel and how unfair is it of that seller to not let you show them what you can do? These are real scenarios which playout everyday, when inexperienced, under or not trained stagers go out into the world trying to build a business without first investing in the single most important part of business development a strong foundation of business training. Now imagine being able to reach out to a CSP staging business coach who will guide you through that conversation…starting to feel better?
How can a house be built without a solid foundation? How can you bake a cake without the essential ingredients? Think about this: a college education is around $30,000 and an MBA is around $60,000… Harvard is $63,000 and Wharton is $68,000. In 2020 Wharton had almost 7,000 applicants (people wanting to go there) of the 904 students who were accepted and graduated, all of them found work at high-net-worth salaries. Why do they want to get into Wharton? RESULTS – that is what counts. The result of paying a premium for education and status, grueling years of study and exams results in access to highly paid work.
Same concept applies when establishing your business. The fee (price) for tuition is not a good factor to select the education for the foundation of your business. Seriously how much depth will there be for a program that’s only a few hundred dollars? You will be disappointed with the content, but you expected that right? Some training programs are in the business of selling training, the CSP International Staging Business Training Academy is NOT in the business of selling training. We are in the business of developing highly skilled, well-educated graduates who have a much better chance of achieving greater results when applying the learning in the field.
Results & success is what you get from CSP International.
My prospect was saying she wanted to buy fruit, but she didn’t know which fruit she wanted. The question she didn’t ask is, “will it work for me? Will I be successful?
My promise to you is “no stager left behind.”
You have my word on that. It is why I personally support each student beyond the classroom.
Remember we teach LIVE – with a highly skilled instructor, and you have interaction with your peer group. You’re not alone watching a video trying to fit it in on your own. By the way, do you know less than 15% of people actually finish work-alone courses? I train many people who took another training first, they usually really do not know where to begin as there was no one to ask during the training. Yet most of today’s online courses basically consist of reading assignments, lecture videos, homework problems and quizzes. They might be broken up into short lessons, but they still follow the same old 14- to 20 day/week long structure of a semester. So is it really surprising that so many of the students in a recent University of California, Irvine massive online microeconomics course couldn’t be bothered to read the textbook or supplemental learning materials?
Consider the value of the additional support you & your business receives – which are included in your tuition. Other places will charge extra for a “package of forms and contracts” website exposure etc. CSP provides: a Pricing calculator so you will always make a profit, software to track your inventory, teach you how to take photos to sell your staging, an electronic signature service, sales tracking program, done for you graphics, done for you business cards, brochure, and presentations, FOUR contracts (saving you $900 alone), special rates for business insurance (save $1,000) and so much more.
Don’t think of the price for class as a loss of money, consider it an investment which keeps paying dividends. A fair exchange. Really, everyone can claim “we’re the best, the biggest, most successful;” when it gets down to the nitty gritty, don’t you really want to be assured of results you can count on, quality you can appreciate and that someone always has your back? We stand for quality education, outstanding value & support with impeccable integrity. When pouring the foundation and walls of your business you can count on the CSP International Staging Business Academy. You are always first in our book.
